With cream colored yarn coaxed into twists and beaded fringe sewn along the edges, today’s creation is one of commitment to my daughter. She has wanted a poncho for many weeks, one like I wore myself when I was about her age. The difference being, I made my own when I was her age because I had a passion for the needle arts – I still do.

One of my secret wishes is to cut loose the strings of a business minded career woman and take up the fine art of home-making. I know I could give Martha Stewart a run for her money. If I never had to stress about who or how the bills would be paid, then I would rest by the fireside, fibers in hand and craft loving words in linen and silk.
