Today’s creation comes from the land of fairies, seas of mermaids and skies of pixie dust. A leisurely walk along the footsteps of Renaissance past found my children and I at the doorstep of dainty hands adorning small fairy cottages. How could we resist but to stop and craft our very own. As I sat with my daughter gluing pink and blue rose petals to a cut paper tube soon to become a tiny home for even tinier creatures, I imagined myself shrinking to a size that could indeed fit inside such a room. Moss would squeeze between my toes and flowering vines would tickle my nose as I walked among pumpkins and twigs.
I celebrate the last of small wonders, of paying attention to detail. One day soon we will all wake enlightened and be blessed with good fortune, big AND small.
