Silent steps among fallen rustling leaves,
empty benches invite lovers to believe.
Jogging beauties strolling their young
while handsome men are calling home.
Frisbee boys and pink sweatered girls
happy children with their laughs unfurled.
Fathers teach their sons to catch to and fro
and fathers in turn learn to let go.
A closed field, clear skyline and rocks towering aside
while my pace has fallen in more than just pride.
